Dr Jaroslaw Stalenga from the Department of Systems and Economics of Crop Production visited BIOFORSK Organic Food and Farming Division, Tingvoll in Norway (3 September - 30 September 2012).

During almost one month stay in BIOFORSK Organic Tingvoll Dr Jaroslaw Stalenga prepared a draft proposal for a common project. In the discussion with Norwegian partner the following title for future project was proposed “Implementation of the Innovative Ecological Recycling Agriculture System” (IERAS). It was agreed that the draft will be developed and submitted either to the Polish-Norwegian Research Programme (deadline November 2012) or to the BONUS PROGRAMME 2010-2016 (Joint Baltic Sea Research and Development Programme) with a deadline at February 2013.

Moreover dr Stalenga was familiarized with one of  the most important field experiment, that is located at the organic experimental farm at Tingvoll (62°54’N, 8°11’E). The experiment was established within “SoilEffects” project which is aimed to identify potential risks and benefits for soil fertility when animal manure is anaerobically digested for biogas production.

At 10^th of September Dr Jaroslaw Stalenga gave a presentation on former projects and on future perspectives for a common cooperation between IUNG-PIB and BIOFORSK.

Of the BIOFORSK research team Atle Wibe, Havard Steinshamn and Anne-Kristin Loes actively participated in the consultations with dr Jaroslaw Stalenga.
